What brought us here
Pianíssimo began as an attempt to recreate an iconic Swiss tea house, bringing to Portugal a truly complete breakfast to start the day well, in a warm and refined room.
Recipes created from scratch followed — lighter ones, and others generous with fresh produce. Over the years, Pianíssimo has become a house where every guest is received as family.
After a few years, the founder wanted to hand the house on to someone who would keep his legacy and the same care for everyone he had accustomed them to — and he chose Joana and Leonel to become the face of one of the most iconic houses in our region.
Today people come to us for our generous breakfasts, our quiches filled with fresh produce, our incomparable home-made cakes, and afternoon plates of crêpes and waffles with fruit on everything.
“The name comes from the upright piano in the middle of the room — and it can be heard on Saturdays, at tea time.”
Joana Ferreira & Leonel Soares
